The government approved an additional $310 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses get through any Coronavirus related shutdowns. The previous $349 billion ran out on April 16, so it's vital that you get your application in if you haven't already.
What if you already applied?
If you already applied, then you are in the queue and you don't need to reapply. The government set guidelines for lending institutions to follow that allow you to not have to resubmit. That being said, it would be a good idea to contact your lender to see if they submitted your request in the first place. One of the dark sides of this program has been that some lenders put higher-level requests ahead of lower-level requests so that they would get more in fees from the government.
Do you qualify?
If you haven't applied yet and don't know if you would qualify, it's vital that you do so as quickly as possible in case the money runs out again. Click here to find out how much you would qualify for.
