City of Bloomington to Help Businesses with $150,000 Grant Program

The city of Bloomington has announced that it will be giving out grants of up to $4,500 each to small businesses affected by Covid-19.

The city has stated that it has $150,000 in HUD CDBG-CV funding to use for grants.  According to the city, "Eligible small businesses may request reimbursement for business expenses incurred during the period of January 21, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Qualifying expenses include:

  • Rent / Mortgage Payments
  • Utilities (Electric, Natural Gas, Water, Internet, Telephone, etc.)
  • Personal Protective Equipment and other COVID-19 related costs
